Thank you for visiting
This website is a work in progress. It is complimentary and based on my book For the Good of the Order, which has positive stories and reflections for any organization that uses Rules of Order for meetings. Roberts Rules of Order include a seldom used optional “For the Good of the Order.” At the end of your meeting, positive and uplifting closing thoughts can help your organization and members become even better at contributing to a vibrant and constructive society. When I first started contributing to the For the Good of the Order in a fraternal Christian organization as a lecturer, I quickly discovered the lack of books or examples on the Internet of the specific structure or techniques to use. To assist in this process, I wrote a book titled For the Good of the Order to help. I have almost two decades as a Lecturer in a fraternal organization. More details regarding the book or purchasing Kindle, soft and hard copies are available on Amazon. I would like to especially note that all proceeds from this book go to charity.
Private individualized group discussions
Perhaps the idea of adding a Good of the Order makes sense for your organization. The fraternal organization I am a lecturer in is for Christian men, so my stories typically include at least a touch of divinity. Members in our organization appreciate examples of what it means to be “Good,” so I have focused on the positive with uplifting personal stories. This site focuses on two aspects in the book. The first is the book includes a discussion section that you group can use to explore if a For a Good of the Order makes sense. This site will include dedicated private group areas for groups to have a written journey of ideas. The second is that I hope that others would be willing to contribute a broad range of positive topics to this site. These stories would become the material for a follow up book and each author contributions would have attribution.
The Benefits
I believe that the concept of being positive contributors to society should remain the same for all groups. In this way, we can lift society by creating communities of organizations that wish to unite around this concept. I also believe it is best to remain anonymous so that the focus is on the good for the organization instead of the lecturer. Additionally, any proceeds from this site or book help our local communities that need uplifting in physical or spiritual ways. If you are interested, the book is available on Amazon Kindle and soft and hard copies. It ais also being readied for publishing in multiple languages.
Until I have the contribution areas of the site complete, if you are interested in contributing to this site please contact me:
